In 2022, HC Vocal & Performance Academy was launched by Holly Clifford with a singular, inspiring mission: to provide young people in Darlington, the Tees Valley, and County Durham with the opportunity to shine both on stage and in their everyday lives. Holly’s vision was to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student, regardless of background, could explore their artistic potential and build self-confidence through the performing arts.

We believe in the transformative power of theatre, singing, drama, and dance. These art forms do more than just prepare students for the stage—they play a crucial role in developing self-assurance, resilience, and interpersonal skills. Our students have had the incredible opportunity to perform across the country, showcasing their talents at notable events such as the London Landmarks Marathon, Rugby League World Cup Final, Darlington Hippodrome, Stockton Globe, St James Park, and Darlington Pride and Carnival.

Additionally, our students have made impressive strides in competitive arenas, with some reaching the finals of the prestigious West End Calling competition and others winning awards at vocal and drama competitions across the region. We also offer workshops with West End Stars, providing our students with invaluable insights and inspiration from leading professionals in the industry. These experiences not only enhance their performance skills but also build confidence and life skills that extend far beyond the stage.
